Alpha Ransomware is particularly notable for strong code similarities and operational resemblance to the defunct NetWalker ransomware, suggesting it might be a revival or reuse of NetWalker's codebase. The group has shown an iterative process in refining its tactics, including evolving ransom note messages and developing its dedicated data leak site, often titled "MYDATA," which initially exhibited signs of instability.
